Amanda Lee
Amanda Lee is Emeritus Professor in the School of Public Health at The University of Queensland. She has extensive experience in nutrition policy, food security, diet cost and affordability, and First Nations' nutrition. Her research focuses on co-designed development, implementation, evaluation and translation of evidence-based policy, practice and tools to prevent and manage non-communicable disease. Among many leadership positions, Amanda was Chair of the NHMRC Australian Dietary Guidelines Working Committee 2008-13, Director of Nutrition and Physical Activity in Queensland Health 2000-12, and until recently led the Food Price and Affordability domain of the International Network for Food and Obesity/NCD Research, Monitoring and Action Support (INFORMAS). In all roles her work takes a strong systems focus, underscored by the pillars of health and wellbeing, equity, environmental sustainability, and prosperity for all.
