Yvonne Anderson

Yvonne moved from Aotearoa New Zealand in 2021 to take up the role of Associate Professor of Community Child Health across Child and Adolescent Health Services, Curtin University, and Telethon Kids Institute in Perth, Western Australia. Yvonne has been a clinician for over 20 years. As a paediatrician with subspecialty interests in endocrinology, diabetes and healthy lifestyle change, she has led multidisciplinary clinical and research teams to implement innovative equitable health service provision for children and young people. The team’s multiple-methods research has predominantly focused on community-based healthy lifestyle programs for children and young people wanting to achieve healthy lifestyle change, prioritising child and family voice. Yvonne is Chair of Tamariki Pakari Child Health and Wellbeing Trust, works with teams at the University of Auckland, and collaborates internationally. She is an advocate for health systems change that enhances child health and wellbeing outcomes
